Lets not forget the Kelly Star (not sure how many variations there were), Firebird and the Death Angel
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

As for WIKI - that would be entirely too many cooks right now, and with no real way to verify anything (not everyone has a scanner for catalogs) you end up with too much "IIRC" and "I heard" and "I read online once", and that's not good for a Definitive Information Source.
Maybe once the whole thing's done just so we can use the popularity of Wikipedia to get the info out there.

Mudkicker - While that level of detail is not needed right now, it is appreciated and will save time when the sorting begins, so however you guys want to lay it out is up to you.

Ok, great work so far gang. I do need verification/clarification of the Euro X models (a name we'll use for them for now just for classification purposes): Was there a DK-X and a DR-X?

No, there wasn't! I should learn to look at my notes before I post...sorry Newc! There was no DK-X. The right name is DR-X.

DR-2 wasn't an import, but good call on those 5.

              How about the DK-3?

Wasn't there a model 1m? Also, the Jackson JRS1 (if that's the name of the 'Peter Max' model!) was a USA, not an import

As I recall, the San Dimas 'reissue' series from the mid-90s was:
                    Standard (I think there was a scratchplate s/s/s and a non-plate h/s/s)
                    SD1 - koa, mahog, lace
                    SD2 - koa, mahog, lace
                    SD3
                    SD3w
                    SD4
                    SD5
There may have been more though!

Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I know all about that. And it was 1990-1995. Let me be more clear:
You forgot to include the Rhoads Pro in the list. It's still not in the list, even after I pointed it out.

the DR-3 was 2 direct mounted hums, reverse headstock.

the DK-3 was H-S-H, regular headstock. Not too common, that one.

The "M" designation in the Model series stood for "maple". So the 4M was Model 4, but with a maple fretboard. All the Model 1 variants had maple boards, so there was no need for a 1M.

Newc, the 550XL wasn't a Model guitar, it was part of the Contemporary series, like the 475, 650XL, 750XL, etc

And I didn't think there was a Model 3M. Wasn't that some bastard mutt put together from a Model 3 body & 4M neck?

                              Import Charvels:
                              - As I recall Charvel did a limited edition in either 89 or 90. It was an h/s/s with sharkfins and a floyd, in silver / black crackle.
                              - I'm pretty sure there was never an import Charvel star.

                              USA Charvels:
                              - What about the Alan Holdsworth model from back in the day?
                              - European Stratheads (mid 90's)
                              - European bullseye (rev 'Sears' head)

                              Import Jacksons:
                              - Need to add the AT-2 (hardtail and trem?)
                              - The import Firebird came in two variations: Floyd (FB2) and string thru (FB2T)
                              - I think there were imports of the FB, JJ and Kelly basses.
                              - The JJ5 was a USA only guitar
                              - Was the KV Pro the Mustaine Sig?
                              - What about the Road Hazard DK2?

                              USA Jacksons
                              - Need to add AT-1 (hardtail and trem?) Was there a neck-thru as well as a bolt-on ?
                              - What is the DK1-F?
                              - Need to add the Archtop (old school, not SLATQH),KE1-T, KE2, KE2-T, PC1, PC2, RR1-T, SL2HMAH and SL1-T
                              - What about Firebirds, Roundhorn Vs and Explorers?
                              - Need to add the Concert, JJ and Anti-gravity basses to the USA section (and the Thunderbird?)
                              - What about the Sweetones?!
                              - What about small batch guitars? (VWall SL2Hs and KV, Musiczoo Charvels, Matt's HRF PC1s, Roadhazard RR and Sl2H etc)
                              - What about the archtop Dinky? DCGL seem to have had a lot of these but I don't think they were ever 'offical' production models
