I thought 2006 was the year for a custom Charvel, Jackson or ESP but unfortunately never materialized. Heres to 2007, intending it to be the year for my custom. My Lynch kamikazi is one of two electrics I have, and its my main beast, I love it, but would like to add to them with a custom.Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Some of you guys must do this for a hobby or something. Wow!
I have had quite a few guitars - to narrow down what I prefer in a guitar for playability and sound. My strategy was to find what I like and then get it custom built.
Now I know what I want, neck shapes I prefer, woods, etc...
I decided the best 3 makers of 24 fret bolt on shred style guitars are Jackson, Robin and (next year) Suhr. So I am getting a custom from each.
This year I bought my Jackson Demon, have a Robin Custom Medley on the way (December it will be here) and next year I am getting a 24 fret Suhr. That will be it for me.PLAY TILL U DIE !!!

In the first few years of collecting/playing Jacksons, I purchased/sold over 40 guitars.
I haven't purchased anything since my custom XTRR in late 2004 and received it a few months ago. Not because of lack of interest, but more due to the fact I've found the guitars I want to keep playing and playing... At first it was experimenting with a little bit of everything, then hoarding them all, and then weeding through the ones that weren't 'keepers' and buying a few more just to see if I've got my players for sure, then ending with the several guitars I coudln't stand getting rid of. So now from a high of 20 guitars at one time (mostly US Jacksons) to just three CS Jacksons and my custom Warwick Thumb bass.
I have been kicking the idea of getting one of those 7 string COW artist archtops, but haven't committed. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
