  • Endorsements?

I know that this is probably a common question so appologies if you've answered it before. Anyway, do Jackson still do these for us regular folk? I remember a time when it seemed that anyone who was a competant enough guitarist could nab an endosement deal (even Slash was an endorsee of Jackson before anyone knew who Guns N Roses were).

I got a message from Dean Guitars saying that if I could prove that my band was signed and that we gigged regularly then they'd speak to me about an endorsement but I only play Jacksons and I only want to play Jacksons!

    And on the 8th day,
God kicked back with a beer,
And gave that Jackson one helluva beating!

I know ESP and Schecter do it, though I don't think Jackson does anymore. As for the Dean deal, might want to at least look into it.

Jackson still does it. There's a few members here who are endorsees. Have you checked Jackson's artist list on their website?
Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

Wow... you have no idea how jealous I am! How did you manage to secure your deal? Does your band HAVE to be signed (my band are currently negotiating a deal but we're holding out for a better offer) and who would handle the endorsments here in the UK... Fender?

Oh, by the way... I checked out your MySpace from the link on the Jackson roster (hope you don't mind)... VERY impressed!

"holding out for a better offer"?

Who had the sig that said "The music business is a money trench; a long plastic hallway where pimps and pushers roam free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side" :ROTF:

Take the deal if it's there.

As for Jackson, realize they still do not give guitars away unless you're Phil Collen, Dave Mustaine, or some other earth-shattering name, and you have to shatter the earth for a number of years before you get them free.
That's why they did the Jenna deal - if they want whores representing them, they'll hire the Queen Of Whores to do it.

The best you're gonna get is a slight discount.

In the case of Jackson, I know he has a Jackson RR1 (I know its a Rhoads model, but I'm not sure if thats it) he uses in concert. Not sure about Dean.

well i Know he plays Dean Dime Razorbacks in concert but I play Kramers at gigs and that doesn't necessarily make me an endorsee...
