It's a noob question I know - I've never tried myself, but is it comfortable? I'm thinking of possibly buying one . . .

How do you play a RRV sitting down?

Its easy....sounds like porn... but sit down...open your legs...and place the opening of the V on your right inner thigh while the small wing rests on top of your left thigh....you can kind of close you legs tighter to adjust how the neck angle sits.

Here ya go man...my wife took a quick pic of me sitting holding my new PCS. I am 1/2 drunk so i am sure the position is a little off . Its actually pretty comfy IMO. I am 6'1" 210 lbs so I dont know if the comfort level changes with a persons size but who knows. Maybe others can chime in

Just like Randy Rhoads(R.I.P.) does it...
sit on the edge of the chair, couch or whatever you`re sitting on...
Put more of the weight of the guitar on you right leg (picture left side )...Cold Hollow Machinery

Randy seems to have his left foot propped up on a foot rest, but I've never had a problem balancing and playing with any V or even an Explorer in that position. Hell, I even play my Strats in that position between my legs, too.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

remember he was 4ft nothing there are many ways to play that git sittin down. I find extending my right leg out accomplises the same thing....either that or buy a fuggin strap and get up off your ass and play :ROTF: . Alternative is to just buy a strat shaped guitarLast edited by quakana; 12-01-2006, 08:50 PM.

I've played a Gibson flying V seated and it was a mutha - I was just looking at some rhoads V's and wondering if the different body shape would make playing seated easier. I'll just have to find one and see . . . Those pics do help though. How does the King V differ from a Gibson (or a Y2KV body style) in shape? I found the lower point just got in the way with the Gibson.ColinMmmmm
