Maybe i just dont have the book learnin' to figure it out? But my new
Jackson PC-1 seem perfect to me. Fretboard is perfect...smooth like
butter on all fret edges... neck pocket set to tight tolerances...
Electronics work perfectly...and no crackle or noise from any switches.
My Custom Shop Charvel HRF is perfect too. Either i dont notice small
problems, or i lucked out? And i have a 91' Dinky "Saturn" to compare
the new ones to!

If the frets are lifting out of the neck and your tech is fixing that, you really really need to control the atmosphere your guitar is being exposed to and drop the bashing because that is directly under your control and is entirely your responsibility. You've offered no additional information such as location and in what environments your guitar is exposed to - are you in the USA? Do you tour regularly with the guitar, going from your house to the car/truck/bus/airplane? Are you in an area that has drastic climate changes? Do you live in an area that has a nearly-constant level of humidity and very little change in the overall temperature?
Instead, all you do is bash the company and the guitar.
I'll tell you what; sell it and buy a different brand, then complain on those boards about the exact same problems.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

My tech tells everyone to have their guitar set up twice a year, right after the big season changes. I pay $58 to have a fret dressing by the way, so your tech is screwing you. I think you are not keeping your guitar in the right conditions. It probably is getting too cold or hot for the guitar. Maybe your tech does a shitty job?

$260 is getting damn close re-fret territory. Like others have said, depending on how low you like the action & the conditions you keep the guitar in, this is not necessarily out of the ordinary, and you'd likely have the same issue with any brand. My advice is to find a tech who charges a reasonable price for a fret dress & setup.

+1 to everything Newc said.
Without having further information, what I´m reading here is "MY JACKSON GUITAR SUCKS BECAUSE IT NEEDS ROUTINE MAINTENANCE!!!". IF we had some sort of info as to the environment the guitar is in and how often it gets played, maybe we could say something else. Cripes, I´ve teched for people that had to have their frets dressed every 5 months because the axes got so "overplayed".

$260 is the cost of a refret on a rosewood/ebony board guitar. Me thinks you got jammed. A fret level/crown/dress should be $40-80 depending on what is needed. But you really shouldn't have to do those very often. Hell, I gigged hard with guitars for years with no fretwork done at all - I'm not saying they wouldn't have benefited from a bit of work but I had no problems with the guitars that prevented me from playing them.
I would love to see the work breakdown for this fretwork.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
