Calling all Jackson Charvel forum members.

Because I know that our members are by far the most sophisticated, talented, versatile, experienced, intelligent and knowlegible group of guitar experts who are professional musicians as well as ace-professional musicians, assembled anywhere on the Internet, I ask here;

If you were to have only 1 guitar would it be a Strings thru set-up or a Floyd Rose Locking set-up?

Well, I own and love both, but if I could only have one, I'd have to go with the Floyd just to have when needed for extra expression.

Floyd. Even though mine are totally blocked at the moment, its nice to have the option. Plus they hold a tuning like mad, so for one and only one guitar, surface mount Floyd it would be.

Yep, I go with the general concensus here, A blocked Floyd (at least blocked to not go sharp). I have Floyds on the majority of my guitars, even though I don't use them to excess.... it's still nice to have as a "tool" [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] .

I always liked the trem and never had problems with tone issues, altho, there is difference between single ended (or lock bridge, lock tuners)and double locking at the nut/bridge.

I think I could like with a string thru with a Digitech whammy.. take a bit getting used to.

Floyd. You can block it if you want more
tonal transfer, but with good amplification sustain is no problem.
