Jackson 3+3 headstock vs Standard Jackson

Pointy headstock is far superior style-wise.

The only case where I think the SLS headstock looks better, is on a 7-string with 4+3 layout. The 7-in-line pointy looks too drawn out and disproportional IMO.

I like the smurf hat on your white war angel or whatever that guitar is. It looks right on it. But I dislike it on almost every other guitar I've seen.

Reverse pointy is the best. :p

Exactly. I hate that smurf hat. I also hate pirhanna inlays, but they would look better if they only had one inlay at the twelfth and twenty-fourth frets instead of the two. Only the strat type bodies look okay with reversed headstocks, but i still wouldn't want one, it points the wrong way when you're beating the demons! Reversed headstocks look especially dorky on a rhoads.

The Y2KV shape would have looked bad with the standard Jackson headstock, so I'm glad they went with a more Gibson style headstock for that model...but in general I'd like to see Jackson stick to the 1980's point. What do you guys think of the 3+3?

I prefer the pointy standardheadstock, but I really think the headstock on the Y2KV is by far the nicest 3+3 headstock

i've always played 6-a-side pointed headstocks. i think the reversed 6-a-side looks good on dinkys, but no way is it going on my warrior. i've never liked the 3+3 headstock.

I think that the standard pointy works on all guitars, and it is my favorite. However, I also think that the smurf hat looks passable on the sls's and other strat-type shapes. Not the kv2t! The kv2t headstock IMO = Let's get that fixed Jackson!

I like the standard,3X3 and the Surfcaster headstocks. With that being said I like the "smurf hat" the most. Look at the guitars listed in my signature.
