I hate Ibanez necks, way too small, sure you can play fast on them, but they are not comfortable at all for me. Jacksons, though, are the best compromise. Thin, speedy, and comfortable at the same time.

it's anathomy thing
and as was said above profile is more important tnan thickness
Relating to measurements only Jackson "standard" (say Soloist) profile compared to "speed" (say KV) profile is just 0.15" difference. It's just G string thickness difference, a couple of sandpaprer strokes... But the feel really differs, because of PROFILE.Because I don't say it
Doesn't mean I ain't thinking it

I still don't see what people are calling "thin" - as compared to what, a bus?
Try a JTX neck - THAT'S thin.
Wasn't someone always griping about how thin the Fusion necks were? Those are not "thin" IMO. Those are medium-thickness (going from Les Paul as thick to JEM as thin).
The neck on my War Angel is a bit thicker than a Fusion, and is what I consider to be on the thick side. The WR7 profile is the same but because of the wider neck, it feels thinner.
However, if we're talking about the JCF01 Rhoads - THAT is thick. IIRC someone said it was the same as a Firebird Pro neck?
I do agree that radius has a lot to do with it - the profile of the Phil Collen Archtop Pro I had was very similar to the profile of the Dinky Reverse (offset dots) neck I had, but the radius was flatter on the Collen (or at least seemed like it).I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

i just tried DK2M, i never thought i would like a jackson neck, but i fell in love after 5 min. of playing with that beast. i guess im not used to the 25.5 scale either i was used to the 24.75. but damn that thing was smooth as a BABY"S ASS"slappy, slappy" bill sings, happily, as he dick slaps random people on the streets of Cleveland.

Fusion necks are thin. DK2(M) necks are medium.
Who's bitching about the neck size? One of the reasons for liking Jacksons are the thin shredder necks.
The reason for different necks is because people have different size hands. No one profile is the "right" size.

Ever measure an early-90s Fusion neck? Same as the Dinky necks that came right behind them. The smaller scale made them feel thinner, as well as created the illusion (for me, anyway) that the nut width was smaller.
The DK2M neck profile is what I consider thick, compared to older Jackson import necks, yet I've seen people post here calling them thin.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
