  • No More Pictures from the Custom Shop on the website

The Custom Shop gallery section is now gone off the main site. True it was never updated anymore but I always thought it was a good idea because seeing all those wild guitars being made gives you ideas which makes you want to buy one. If nothing else I'll miss seeing Mike's latest graphics.

This close to NAMM they are probably updating it. Last year they showed a lot of the stuff being built that was then unvailed at NAMM. They are just trying to build some suspense.

Yeah I miss seeing the cool pics they post.

I was sorta curious if my recently received demon was going to show up on there cuz I noticed on the hang tag down by the bottom it says "photo". Unless it got photographed for another reason? hmmm

              Catalogue?
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Also, it's still there, but I guess they removed the link:

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

I'll bet they're dropping it. Disappointing again.

Yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised. Like the CS 'archive' area - again, it's still there, but it hasn't been updated in ages.

I'm surprised, as I'd have thought that the more sexy stuff you put on the website the better, especially with the ever growing use of the web. It can't possibly cost that much just to keep things fresh on those pages. OK, someone has to be on hand to take the pics, but surely it would be worth the time and effort to keep a 'constantly updated shop window' on the web?

Wasn't it Brad Traweek who was the "one man show" who was saddled with the chore of keeping all of FMIC's product sites updated, or was that someone else?

He did poke his head in once to comment on the lack of updates to the Jackson site some time after the buyout - something about a committee that assigns him priorities regarding the sites?

Anyhoo, with NAMM, they're hopefully just cleaning it out to revamp it.

Whatever. No surprise. I think they are too busy making custom guitars, which usually takes about 15 months per piece.

Mike, does your Demon have the demon inlay on it? If so it was up at one point in time.
