Where did you get the body woods?Are they aged?

I think I got them from ebay. Just search for "alder blank" or "quartersawn maple" and you'll get some hits. Everything was kiln-dried before I made any cuts.

It's my first build, but I think it's going pretty well so far. I'll put up more pics as the work progresses.

Why don't you use the right block for the upper wing and the biggest block on the left for the lower wing?

That way maybe you can have a 2 piece upper wing and a 1 piece lower wing, which will be better imo! Take it easy

Edit: It seems like you can use that biggest block for both the upper wing and the lower wing!

I think so, yes.

Both blocks had been the same size originally, and neither were big enough for the top wing. This was the best way to do it, short of finding some bigger pieces of treated wood.

Yeah, it'll have neck & headstock binding.

It'll be white w/ black bevels & black hardware, single J50BC w/ a JE-1000 I'll be putting together myself.
