That way maybe you can have a 2 piece upper wing and a 1 piece lower wing, which will be better imo! Take it easy

Edit: It seems like you can use that biggest block for both the upper wing and the lower wing!

I was going to say something like that, That little block of wood at the end of the long wing would make me nervous, you smack that into a wall/doorway and it looks like it would snap right off!! I know it's too late, but good luck........

A glue joint is stronger than wood. Besides, I'm pretty careful with my V's - not a ding on any of the horns!

Looks great! It would be kind of fun to just leave it like it is and wire it up. In the family shot it looks like a wooden robot guitar.

Is that how manufacturers make neck-thru guitars? For some reason, I always assumed they milled the left wing, neck, and right wing, *then* glued them together?

                          Heh heh.

I actually haven't gotten anything done since I posted this thread. I've been pretty busy with school.

                              Nope.

All I've done in the past several months is plane the neck angle. Then next steps will be:
                              -route truss rod channel
                              -cut body
-shape neck (scares me, as I've never done this before! )
                              -glue on fingerboard
                              -binding
                              -fretwork
                              -paint/clearcoat
                              -hardware
                              -electronics
                              -and finally, SHRED

That's dozens of hours of work, and I simply haven't had time lately. I've found that the amount of time it takes to build a guitar, you could've worked that many hours at your job and just bought a CS! And that also guarantees that everything about it will be perfect; this is my first guitar build and I don't even know if the damn thing will tune yet!

But I'll get back to work one of these days...
