  • MY First Charvel. Please Help Identify..

I just picked up this project guitar off The Bay. Can someone ID this and tell me waht Kind of Tremolo I am going to need for it, and any suggestions as to where to pick it up? Thanks and Hello everone. And THIS is the neck it came with. Any source for the Tuners? I already have the pups. It came with a nice hardshell Charvel case and all electronics and a backplate for 137.50 local pickup.

Could be a Charvel 375 Deluxe body. Is it a 22 fretter? The original tremolo would be a JT-590.

Heres the neck. Yes, its a 22 fret neck . Thanks . Those Catalog pictures sure take a long time to load. Even on broadband. Its gonna take me awhile to determine which model it is from that 90-91 catalogue.

Hi. And welcome to the board! You can find the 590's on E-bay. They don't pop up often, but they are there. Please, oh please, read all the rules and realize that there is a "day and number of posts" rule that rules out asking to buy or offering to sell before those numbers are met. Sit back and relax and enjoy. A real Floyd Rose would work.

I hear ya. And it does appear to be the 375 Deluxe. In goes a dimebucker , a hot rail, and a cool rail. Now to begin looking for the wammy.

Just get a Schaller... it's the same thing as the JT-590.

                  I thought a Schaller, as in the '90's, was a 590.

It is... the ones with the Jackson and Charvel logos. The JT-590 is just J/C's designated model number. Though, Schaller also has its own version with just the Schaller logo on it.

As for tuners, there's usually a set or 2 for sale on eBay, or I'm pretty sure these are what you need:

The Planet Waves auto-trim tuners may also fit. Here's a thread on them:

                          Only $39.99 at MF, too:
