Poll! Should I refin my lightning DK1?

Well, the title says it all. I'm a bit tired of the lightning graphic on my DK1 and I was thinking about refinishing it. Not sure about which color yet. What do you think?
No black please, I love it but I have 3 others guitars in black.

It´s your guitar, so if you wanna repaint it then do so, and i vote for white myself, would look great

Unfortunately, you can't sell it for enough to buy anything "new". "New" as in "different", maybe, but that's about it.

I'd say do whatever - there's dozens of Lightning Sky guitars out there, and quite frankly it's old and cliche IMO because it's been done to death. There are a few variants out there that stand apart (like the red one) but good old fashioned Lightning Sky is....old.

White would look nice, but is a bit plain. Maybe white with a black Playboy Bunnyhead in the middle? Not everyone's cup o tea, but it's eye-catching to say the least.

JEM Green, Pink, or Yellow would probably rock, if you're into the 80's neon colors like that (Dweezil?)

How about Gibson-style Goldtop? Silverburst?

Some other graphic you like? Eldred (Hot Wheels) Flames? Ghost Flames? Something totally custom?

If you don't like the finish, sell it to someone else who want's a Lightning finish and get yourself another Jackson.

A custom graphic would be great but I'm afraid it would be too expensive for what I want to do. If I'd have to spend some money I would better sell it and buy some new soloist. At the moment white/cream refinish is the first choice...

it would be a shame to refin a guitar that someone would love as is, but ultimately, it's your guitar and you should do with it as you see fit.

if a refin is the route you take, I vote for not for plain old ordinary silver, but for silver flake. Have you seen the old Fusions & 375s in silver flake? Awesome!

Especially if it is the lightning graphic with the eyes and fangs in the cloud. You do not see many of them.

If you have plenty of guitars as is, sell it and put the money towards something else. I'm just big on redoing any type of "special" finish.

I have four more guitars (rr1, at pro, dk2m and a bc rich stealth) so selling it would not be a problem.
