1. Bring back all the trans + graphic finishes which were discontinued.
2. OFR becomes standard on every floyded import on Pro series and above.
3. Discontinue the Morton signature import. It's gross.
4. Make nack and headstock binding compulsory on every Pro series and above import.
5. Change the forward strap pin location by default to prevent neck dive on certain models.
6. Look into setting up production factories in other European countries where demand is currently not met. The UK is one of them. The build and quality standards met by Japan and USA would be apply.

Then I would focus my ears towards what the customers are actually saying they want and why. Note the word "customers", please. Because a lot of the nonsense you'll read on the 'net will come from people who aren't actually buying your products and, even if you gave them exactly what they asked for, still might not buy it anyway.

Then I'd build some really cool guitars.

Dump the USA Charvel line and bring back the MIJ Model series

Dump Jenna and get some high profile players signed up

Change the custom shop system to accommodate easy changes to USA Select guitars (IE 1 hum, reverse head, etc) for a small upcharge like Carvin does.

Make it a REAL custom shop. Want an explorer? How about a Firebird? Even a guitar with a Swastika painted on it would be OK in my book.

I would do many of the things mentioned above. I would keep in mind that Fender has survived and "why" it survived is that it is not a one trick pony. It can sell to any level of the market. To survive Jackson/Charvel would need to "copy" that model and tailor it to its specific market. We need entry level quality guitars but they must be branded differently from our mainstay and high end guitars. Every band would be courted to play our instruments and evey decent working studio musician would be givin a discount or credit to play them. They would be everywhere. We would continue to to the san dimas retro but we would also build a retro looking line of Andersen/Suhr killers and neck thru boutique guitars. I would start a tun up shop and a parts shop. Send your guitar to "us" for repairs and paint etc and get your certificate that we did it. I would sell kits as well as 7k works of art. And we would be the best in customer service. We would become a large boutique shop that turns a profit.

I would just for grins and giggles do a 3d plate for the 25ths and others that do not have them. On the new boutique retro moderns I would do a brass recessed plate that would be a work of art. A Mercedes badge. A must have.

I would raise the bar so high it would be very very hard to compete against our guitars

with Line 6, Yamaha, Gibson and now PRS introducing guitars with modeling built inside the guitar ... it may not be a bad trend to jump on. The PRS is a sweet axe if you can live with 2 pickup selecters.
