I was half-expecting someone to say it was this:

I think I've figured out what Grover will be doing. As each model comes off the assembly line with each different graphic, Grover will snap photos and burn them to a CD for the webmaster.....

WIth the Custom Shop, you have to know what to look for. Ignore the graphics, and go for the woods. Me, I picked up a hefty priced (for me anyway) soft archtop made of Koa. One hum, by Pablo Santana.

It blows away all my other guitars: Suhr, Anderson strats, Les Paul Custom Historic, GMP.

I always come back to it, best workmanship, best sound, it kills.

I'm just surprised that the Custom Shop just doesn't keep building the soft archtops. They're worth it, and they sell at a premium. I just imagine it takes a lot more work for them to do it, because as soon as they're produced, they sell easily.

                There's a Jackson guitars myspace?

Yep. That's just one of the things that makes myspace so cool... for the first hour or two.

                    Jackson has a myspace? Eugh.

So now there will be the occasional CS run that Grover farts on or touches with his beat off hand. Bleh.

Exactly what I think this is.

That seems to be the consensus around here. We'll see what comes of it.

Well, isn't that what Gibson has done with Les Paul? "Thanks for the ideas, stand here and sell guitars for us".

Please don't tell me you are comparing Les Paul to Grover Jackson.

No, I'm comparing Gibson's use of Les Paul to what Jackson is assumed to be doing with Grover - he's the "name" to go with the "brand".

Bring Randy back and we'll have something exciting! Jackson guitars haven't needed grover for a long time to get back to making awesome guitars, I just dont see this as more then Dean Z's involvement in Dean nowdays. "Oh hey, thanks for the brand name"...
