I like that paint scheme alot.. I'd have to go custom tho..slap a single in the neck slot and a 3 way toggle with a rev headstock and rev sharks.

What I'm basically just going to do is swap out the tuners, get a Floyd re-routed in, route the electronics access to the back and fill in the neck p/u cavity.
And I'm not a great player by any stretch of the word and I like having less complexity - so a single humbucker and two knobs sounds pretty good to me.

...hm. You know, the total cost of these mods is gonna be astronomic. I might just get a custom V guitar made as a one-off later on by some small company. It'll probably run me about the same, and be new.
At the same time, I kind of want to sell this RR if I can, since there's a guy selling a Soloist Pro that looks cool and I really want to give normal-shaped guitars a shot. But I can't post in the classifieds, so sadface.
Decisions, decisions.

With the current pricing, I can see why somebody would get a plain black or white Jackson intending to add after market graphics. But when you include filling in pickup holes and changing the control layout, then you're talking about stripping the whole guitar, adding a veneer to hide the fix, etc. This electric phase ain't no teenage craze -UFO

There's a guy on the SD forums selling a white Soloist Pro for $650 - I really want that, but I need to sell this Rhoads first, then. Besides, one V guitar (in the future) will be enough for me.

I really dig that last paint scheme with the gold hardware. If the cost is prohibitive, why not just start with one piece of it and add things over time? If you can live without the Floyd, then I'd definitely just get your existing axe painted. Pickups and all that can be added later. And correct me if I'm wrong, but routing for a Floyd won't require a refin. Maybe this is something Mark (mm2002) would be interested in doing?Scott

It just really depends on if I can trade this thing off, really. I'd be amenable to having a superstrat right now and saving the V for later.
...on a related note, does anyone know where I could find an ESP Mirage Custom or the like?
