Yep.. the FSK-101 is the one to use if you have a humbucker in the neck position.
Sustainiac makes a HB sized base plate for the driver that has room for you to install your own single coil or mini-bucker along with it.
The FSK-101 kit is just a driver and a dummy pup next to it.

I've had an Ebow for years. There is one thing they do in common - basically you can sustain a note forever. But you can't do the "bow" thing with a PC-1 and you can't sustain multiple notes/chords with the Ebow.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Here's my PC1/Sustainor demo..lol.. maybe not as descriptive vocally as the one posted above. This is from a tv appearance roughly a year ago now.
        Hope you enjoy,

RJ, Yep that's the one in my Les Paul. The FSK 101.

I agree. What a fucking idiot. Why would you do that to such a nice and expensive guitar.

That sustainer is cool! I always wondered what they do. I want a PC1 now! They have a Purple Haze finish one at L&M here. Very nice.

Oh crap! Long & McQuade stocks PC1s? I'll have to check out my local store sometime.

I'm on a HUGE Def Leppard kick lately. It's nice to see this demo video confirming a lot of the infinite-sustaining notes Phil seems to play on more recent Def Leppard songs as well as recent live versions of old songs. For example, I believe he's activated the sustainer in the following live version of "Hysteria":

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

By the way, when did Jackson add the third control knob to PC1s? The earlier ones only seemed to have two controls and no tone knob if I am not mistaken.

Not sure exactly when the original PC1 was introduced but it SOUNDS like he started recording/touring with them during the "Euphoria" era. I have bootleg MP3s of the "Slang" tour and he was playing classic songs more or less in their original manner (no sustainer can be heard). Ever since he started using his PC1s, he's been adding various extra touches that are really easy to identify as the sustainer in action.

He had them around the time of Slang, but that's a more stripped down sound....

                      Phil's been using PC1's since 1995.
The tone knob was added in 2001.

Ahhh crap, you're right. I can hear the sustainer during the solo for "Where Does Love Go When It Dies". Harmonic mode and all. Really beautiful song.

The one here in Winnipeg has a TON of Charvels and Jacksons. Really sweet ones too. The guitar salesmen there are big C/J fans.

Its cool for clean sounds too. Especially when you're doing things like pseudo cello, flute or keyboard things. I finally found a use for a tone knob when I started doing this..lol.
