jackson/charvel guitars are made out of alder which is a brighter wood than mahogany. So, theoretically, you are supposed to get better cleans with lots of highs on a jackson than with say a mahogany (darker sounding wood) les paul. Another alder-bodied guitar... fender strat with shimmering cleans.
but since jacksons are mostly geared for the metal guitarist, their pups are usually hot and wont give you the cleans that you want. just lower the volume like someone already pointed out and you should do fine.
