C/J play clean just like any other guitar.
To get a clean tone on a Jackson, you need lots and lots of soap. I found soaking the pickups in a mix of WD40 and vinegar for 3 or 4 months helps a lot too. And don't forget to oil the neck with dishwashing liquid. Sunlight works best.
