  • Don't know if anyone knows but....

I was at the Lamb of God, Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira concert the other night and I noticed Phil Demmel of Machine Head was sporting a new red style Jackson V. It looked like it didn't have any Inlays except for something at the 12th Fret. Does anyone know if this is just a one off custom job for him or possibly a proto on its way to a possible production model for Jackson??? If that made that a production model I would definitely get it.

Phil Demmel is an endorsee, so it's most likely a custom... he's had a number of USA Jacksons and a couple of MIJ Charvels over the years...

      JTD,
      What show were you at?

I saw them last Tuesday. The tech for Phil is a friend of mine so I got to spend some time checking that V out. It is a Custom Shop. One off, I'm sure. I dug it though. Very cool. Not too sure what the inlay on the 12th was. 2 squiggly lines is what it looked like to me but I'm sure it means something. Sweet guitar though. Sports an EMG 81 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck...

I have a couple on my phone but damned if I'm too stupid to figure out how to get them off and on my computer...

It was basically a King V but inside the "crotch" of the V was 2 smaller horns coming out. It's red with black bevels. Pretty kick ass...

Is it this one? I have wondered what was up with it.

Yeah that is the one!!! The show I was at was the one in Sioux Flalls, SD! Machine Head were awesome. It was an indescribable experience, one I shall not forget. However I wish they made this particular V in a production model. It certainly would get me to buy it that is for sure. It is just a bit different for a V that Jackson has offered that would coax me into getting one because it is that different from the standard Jackson King V.

I kind of like it just because as far as Jackson and V's are concerned its different. I also like the pointies!!! If they did an import of this model I would be buy it!
