.... to use a Strat head neck on a Rhoads or King V body?

Hi Gang, here's my delema and I'm looking for some feedback.

I'm starting a new project as I got this killer neck from Warmoth. Now, i'm going for an "old school J/C" vibe here, but I really don't want to use a strat body. I have both right hand and left hand Warmoth V2 bodies lying around (right is alder, left is mahogony) and so far I just can't decide if I should mount the neck to one or go with a ash strat body I have. In trying to keep with my theme, I'm looking for opinions on if it would be "wrong" to use the one of the Vs. Thanks for your time and opinions.

I don't know about heresy, but I think it would look goofy. If you want a strathead on a more "extreme" shape, how about a Star? That's plenty old school

I think a star is about as non-traditional as I'd go with a strathead, and it took a while for that to grow on me. Maybe you should do a mockup with the generator, though. It's hard to picture it.

Hmmm, not as horrible as I thought it would be, but still not something I'd do. I've seen plenty worse, that's for sure.

The Star would look the best with the Strat headstock over a V, but something about it still is kinda weird, IMO.

The strathead does look strange on V shapes, except for the Star, but only because Charvel made a number of strathead stars... so everyone is used to seeing that.

Star would be the best. BUT if you want something unique...then strathead with Rrhoads body. If that´s not enough, then reverse strathead with Rhoads body

agreed with what xeno said. I think you should go with whatever YOU want, after all, they "were" (i use that term strongly) a hot rod shop so almost anything was possible!
