  • Please help-Cant find a 3 way switch for my H-H!!

I ruined a couple of switches on my Jackson Dinky guitar, so I am looking for a replacement. Ive checked switchcraft, but they dont make a direct replacemnet 3 way, like the import type switch. The one Out of the jackson looks pretty sturdy. Ive found a replacement switch from "Dirtcheap", but it looks real cheap. I also found one fromn Guitar tech, but cant find any dealers except in UK. Will Jackson sell a replacement 3 way switch? Anyone know where to get the best quality replacement.Still without my Jackson !!

either check out your local guitar shop (they've always got spare parts, even the shoddy ones where i live do), or visit www.allparts.co.uk. i've been lucky insofar as i've never had to replace any parts on my import jacksons. just because something looks cheap doesn't automatically mean defective. try it and if it's fucked, hassle your local guitar shop for one.
    Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

well, I ordered one from Stew-Mac, but it doesnt look like the one that was in it. It lokks like the Start 3 way. I hope it works on the Jackson.

I was just about to suggest eBay. I see switches and pots from parted out Jacksons on there all the time.

i think Jackson pots are meh myself. There switchs may seem simplier, but any 3 way blade switch will work.

Any three way will work, but, eh..... Can I ask how you ruined "a couple" 3 way switches already?! I can't remember the last time one of my switches went out.....

Yeah. They can take a lot of abuse. And even though something may look burnt or whatever its not (trust me Jackson's looks like complete crap and it works great )

I ruined it trying to wire them up. I am taking it to a tech to wire after i get the switch.

Sully knows what he's talking about so don't blow your wad dickdog.Seems to me you're the one thats not sure what he's looking for.Not all 3 ways have the same mounting demensions.USA and imports do sometimes have different demensions. They make look the same to the non informed.
                            Really? well screw Mark Twain.
