#13: No baritone scale lengths.

I tried on an order I placed two years ago. 18 months after they accepted the order, the CS decided to no longer offer a bartione scale length.

It's more like a "pick from this list of options" shop rather than an actual custom shop. Boo Jackson. Boo!

you have the "option" of coming up with a completely original design, and Jackson will build it for you. Seems pretty Custom Shop to me

I guess it sucks if your "original" design involves ripping off someone else's (re: an Artist or another guitar manufacturer) design. So no more "I want a bullseye Les Paul, but I want Jackson to build it", or bedroom fantasies about playing one of Amir Derakh's 80s guitars, or guitars that look like props from beer commercials

They just did a replica of one of his guitars... but they had to take the swastika off it (or actually cover it up with a number :ROTF: ).

in that case, are there any major custom shops anymore? Just about all of them are restricted in what they are able to build in one way or another. Try getting a strathead on your next new GMW.

All top builders, all with limitations on what they will build you. So by definition they're all "Option Shops" too, I guess

Yep, that was the same one. Since all the crybabies complained, DCGL covered up the swastika.

what's funny though, considering AK47's petty swipe at socialist Europeans stopping offensive graphics as part of some PC agenda, it was predominantly American JCFers who were getting most bent out of shape over those guitars
