Do I take it that we Brits are a rarity on this wee forum?

Well yes there are less of us, but as we get to pay so much more for our guitars, it kind of evens it out....

Now there's something worth taking to the UN, the cost of US made guitars in the UK especially with a kick ass exchange rate like we have at the moment. Seems that in business $1 = £1.

Hello, welcome aboard. Yeah, you might have to pay through the nose for US-made guitars...but you can see decent soccer anywhere! I'd make that trade-off.

Plus it's not like the UK isn't home to some awesome gear!

Good point & well presented, still sucks the prices we have to pay though. My local team is Brighton & Hove Albion but the way they play could never be mistaken for decent football!!!!

My friend, I'd bet Brighton & Hove is like watching Barcelona next to what I get to watch most...the Mexican league! You'll never see so much, flopping, diving, whining and time-wasting. And that's just the referees!

Fuck me, that sounds like fun! Watching Brighton is like watching paint dry, then again my local team back in Scotland were not much better. The only trophies they ever won were for their hot pies & bovril they sold at half time. Best heart attack food in the Scottish Football leagues. No wonder the world's best heart specialists learned their craft in Glasgow. This is the country that gave the world that fine delicacy....the deep fried Mars Bar. Forget about work & play, after eating one of them the only thing you can do is rest!!!!

It's amazing the links between the US & Scotland. I live just outside of Brighton, England & was in a band with singer who hailed from Southern California. His mum & dad were both Scots by birth, they moved to the USA & met each other & his dad still competes in Highland games today. We went to see my singer friend in San Diego, one night we're at dinner & at the next table there is an American couple who went to Scotland & spent some time at one of my dad's favourite pubs. Small world indeed. As for Highland dancing, an ex girlfriend of mine was a Scottish champion way back in the mists of time. I've a cousin who teaches Irish Dancing, watching her classes made me sea sick. 50 kids doing their best impressions of Michael Flatley, not for the faint hearted!!!!!
