Model 1C Tremelo Problems

My model 1C didn't come with a tremelo bar so I tried using a bar from my other charvel but it didn't fit. I opened up the back panel and noticed that the hole where you stick in the bar goes all the way to the other side. So basically if I stuck something in the top I could pull it out the bottom. It looks like a standard tremelo though. Is it supposed to be like that or is it ****ed up?

Journeyman...I think those model series trems are made by gotoh. And they have a larger, metric thread. I have a "screw in" bar for a floyd, (no collar) and it fits perfectly on the model trem.
