Get the guitar and you will see, no problems at all with the tuning stability...
I wanted to swap it to but, I don`t need it, cause it stays perfect in tune...
Well, if he is like me, then he absolutely ***hates*** those angled saddles on the lo-pro bridges.

I love my RR1, but it took me literally a year to get used to how it plays.

RRs definitely "hangs" differently on the body than do standard Soloist / Dinky type guitars.

Nothing wrong with the setup and action on my RR1 either, it was setup perfect when I bought it at the store (I tried sitting down). But most of the time I play standing up, and I just could not get used to how it played standing up.

Contrary to most opinions, I found the RR shape to be extremely comfortable and easy to play sitting down with a strap on (quasi-classical position, with right knee between the horns, automatically puts it at a great playing angle)

Now after owning it for several years, I can switch between that and all my other guitars (Dinky types / LP types / Strat types) without any problem, but be aware of that. Some guys never encoutered these things, some guys found it so frustrating they sold their otherwise flawless RRs.

Now I am going through a similar process with my RR24. Since my RR1 has 22 frets, the "feel" is very different on the RR24. Given my experiences trying to adjust to the RR1, I know I will eventually get used to it, so I am definitely keeping it (great guitar, everyone should have one ) . But I knew this before I got the RR24 so I was prepared to do that.

Well, you might be one of those people for whom the RR shape fits perfectly... and no getting used to is required.

But if you get a RR, and you turned out to be one of those who find it awkward, the good news is, eventually you will get used to it. My RR1 took me a year. I just played my RR24 tonight, and I think after several weeks of playing it, I have gotten used to it now. (and already being used to my RR1 helps)

Part of what I like about my different guitars is that they're DIFFERENT....A little getting used to at the start, but just like riding a bicycle, you jump on and go right away next time. (or Harley in my case-) I love 'em all!
I agree with the post saying you already have a strat/dinky style body- Go for it! Get something different! Life IS like a box of chocolates, after all....
If they won't let you try one out, go somewhere else!

I haven't quite figured out how the 'sitting down playing comfortably with a strap-on' would work out, but hey, if that's how the kids are getting their thrills nowadays, well, then, by all means....LOL Hell, I might even like it with the proper diagram to get me started!

I own an RR3 and my dad has a DK2M, so ive spent alot playing both and in my opinion the rhoads is the better feeling guitar, theres a big difference to me in the way the guitars balance and the way youll automatically position your hands. I find people play with more endurance on a rhoads, but when it comes down nobody can really answer the question for you. Trying them out and making your own decision is the best plan, if that somehow wont work.. My reccomendation is the RR3

I have an RR1 and i had trouble gettin used to playing it sitting down
everything else was perfect though, especially when standing, the guitar hangs differently than strat shapes so the strings and bridge positioned at the center of your body and i find it very comfy
also the balance is perfect, it stays where you leave it

so its not so great for sitting but it has to be one of the best standing up guitars ever, for me at least
this thing is built for live playing, and it serves its purpose

Hey welcome aboard first off, I have owned all types of model RR's over the Years , it's actually whats missing from my collection right now. They are comfortable to play either way it will take a little getting use to if you've never owned 1. As for the DK2 I had 1 before & the neck is sweet , but the DK shape is not for me personally I like Warriors & V's the odd shaped stuff for me, with the exception of Kellys don't know why but they just don't work for me & are uncomfortable to play for me. Good luck either way it's gonna be a win win situation for you.

I used to have a Rhoads, and i find them just as comfortable as strats, but i play strats in the "classical" position as well, so not to much of a difference for me.
Perhaps you can try some other V's if there are some at your local store, to get an idea of how you like it?
