Dealer raffles? Illegal?

just asking about those dealer raffles that seem to be popular ATM

...because from my understanding, raffles like this are considered gambling and at least in most states, is illegal and could have consequences for both the dealer and those entering in the "raffle"...

so could someone shed some light on this?

Most likely Illegal. Most states that raffles are legal in still require a license from the state. I would suggest seeking proof of this before buying in to one of these raffles.
