I heard the Maiden Sig Jacksons will ONLY be sold as a pair and the package will be $30,000. Scratches, gouges and relicing done by Eddie (the monster, not EVH... smartasses you) thereby having an official blessing by the Maiden Crew and certifying the hefty "to some ham and eggers" price tag.
What a freaking deal!!!
They better have actual Murray/Smith tour sweat in the finish, that's all I can say.
Since musicians aren't their target market now, I wonder if Jackson will bother having a booth at NAMM anymore. I'd think they would just auction their "cheap art" at Christie's or something. Fuck, I shouldn't give the marketing department at Fender any more ideas.

FYI Jackson has nothing to do with the Frankinstrat

Why would they? EVH never played Jackson that I can recall, but my point is just as valid if you take a look at the price of CS pieces at the last NAMM.
Actually come to think of it, there was a picture of the Jackson/Charvel shop a while back that had that batch of EVH guitars with reflectors on them and everyone speculated a special run was in the works then. So it looks like they were built by J/C and perhaps relic work done by the Fender guys.
I was crusing ESP's site and saw they have alot of different and custom designs and alot of new models, how come jackson doesnt have more new models.
24 fret, single PU Rhodes is cool and all, but is that all the new idea's the can come up with, or is there more in works as far as "new" designs on the way? beyond rumors?

Mostly right. Remember the original press release about the Frankenstrat replica long ago? It was a Charvel press release, right? There was a reason for that. It was originally intended to be a Charvel-branded guitar. It was subsequently decided that it would be done under a new "EVH Gear" brand, though - most likely at Ed's own insistence and contractual requirements, and to get the amp deal, too. In FMIC's corporate structure, the "EVH Gear" brand is basically within the same umbrella as Jackson/Charvel. Not the Fender brand. In terms of builds, I've only heard of Chip's involvement heading up the project and build. There's likely others involved, but Chip is/was a J/C custom shop guy. Don't be fooled by the FMIC management trying to play up EVH's association with "Fender" - that's basically just a reference to the FMIC corporate ownership, not the Fender brand of guitars.

The reason I said that is according to what I read is they were built in Fenders shop, not Jackson/Charvel shop.
Meh, the lines and statements are intentionally blurred. Believe whatever you want to.
Besides, who cares anyway? The guys doing the Fender custom shop guitars are just as talented as J/C's. In the end, it's officially an "EVH Gear" brand guitar - neither J/C nor Fender.
