  • Flotsam & Jetsam Charvel Star

That black and white Charvel Strathead Star played by the guy on the right side of the stage.. It makes me drool!

It got me thinking.. What do I have laying around here.. I have a Modulus Blackknife grapphite neck (strathead).. A Floyd Rose.. A Seymour Duncan Dimebucker.. Now if I got hold of a Star body.. I could get pretty darn close! Whaddayasay? Should I go for it?

Cool! I think he used to have an Explorer like that as well. I can't really recall the Star.

I used to own that star! I played it for quite a few years. I don't think I have any photos with it, but I have video of me with it when we opened for Sacred Reich. Unfortunately, the neck was gone when I got it. I sold it to a good friend. He still has it and it has a Chandler pointy neck on it now. It is a great guitar. The plate number is 1047. I could get it back if I wanted to, but I am in no hurry. If I found the right neck that might motivate me!

Wow! That is cool as hell! I'd love to have that body, I think it would look pretty good with that Blackknife neck I've got! Any chance you could talk to your friend, find out if he's still got it? If he's interested in selling it.. Please send me a PM Unless you want it for yourself of course
Oh, and pics are cool to!

I have a SD Charvel neck that is painted black (the paint is original). I thought about putting that on the star, but I would really prefer to get a strat head neck and have it painted like the original. Oh ,it has a floyd on it now. I can't remember which one of us had it installed. I know when I got it the Kahler was still on it. I think there was a carvin pick up in the neck position. It kind of looks like that same pick up is in the video. I think I had EMGs in it for a while. It is a very comfortable body to play.

My friend who has it is a very good friend and we kind of share gear. We are free to use what the other has. If he needed cash or something I would buy it back to help him out. Similarly, if I bugged him for it he would sell it. We actually talked about it once but neither of us knows what a fair price would be so we gave up on the idea.

Yes, but what does that have to do with this thread about Flotsam and Jetsam and a Charvel Star? :ROTF:
