The reflectors would reflect off the light and look super cool. Something like that... Maybe I will go back and re-read the article.

I thought Jimi's "Burnt" strat fetched $600K about 14 years ago?
Heck it may be worth 1.3 million now?

hm. and anyone who buys one won't complain about the massive fucking gap in the neck pocket.

                  ...makes ya think, doesn't it?

These "vintage" guitars are silly. If you want to be like EVH, then make your own mutt, don't buy a $25k replica.
You mean like these? the R/W/B is an amaizing lil monster too.

hmm... no. It seems the "buzz" over Jimi's strat is over. Jimi's estate is not planning on selling it. At least that's the decision as of now. I dont know who it is who was trying to get over a million for it, but when it did not get anywhere close to a million, that's the decision. Too bad. Many thought it would be the most expensive.

other "expensive" strats... Mark Knopfler (sp?) strat and David Gilmour's strat. No clue how much they will sell for if auctioned. Eric Clapton's blackie fetched $950,000 if I am not wrong. Stevie Ray's strat fetched almost $700,000.

When I look at the iron chippings sticking on the pickup magnets I really wonder if this guitar can be played at all or if the electronics are a total short circuit.

Hats off to the forensic detail on this, but, like a few others here, it's just not my cup of tea.

I never really got the 'mojo' thing.

If the Dean from Hell was to be sold I'm sure it would fetch alot of money considering the passing of Dime.

I like the style of Frankie. I've always enjoyed the parts mutt thing, and I like gritty home made graphics...but...when I see the state this thing is in...ugh!

If I found that in a pawn shop...I wouldn't want to touch it from fear of catching some nasty disease...like lepra...or the black plague. It looks absolutely disgusting.
