Rumors are that, apart from Jimmy Page's Original LP, Eddie's original Frankie is the only other guitar that's gonna fetch more than a million dollars. ...if it was ever auctioned.

I'd bet Rhoads' original Jackson or polka dot V would get a nice amount, but probably not close to those other two.
The real Franky is rumored to be the most valuable guitar in the world at 1 million plus. So, $25K for a replica that's licensed and authorized by Eddie is a relative bargain.

I hope Eddie's last act is to take Frankie and do a Pete Townsand with it in front of a packed stadium.
Or have it buried with him.
Nobody else besides Wolfie has the right to own it.
And there is also Hendrix' fave white strat, the one with the leopardskin strap, that was over $200k when it was sold by his girlfriend in the early 90s iirc. That went to a German collector, I imagine that would be one of the most expensive guitars on the planet, I think Hendrix is a tad more influential than EVH, no offense to Ed, but we're talking a different league here.
If given the choice which would you go for, I'd be on the strat with no hesitation. But then I'd regret it as I play with my right hand!
Fwopping, you know you want to!

There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary. Those who do and those who don't.
I think eddie mentions these reflectors in the GW article. He's saying something like at the end of the show, he used to hold up the guitar over his head to cover his eyes from the blinding overhead stage lights and at that time he thought about the reflectors-idea. The reflectors would reflect off the light and look super cool. Something like that... And yes, those are real cigarette burns. I think for some "burns" the Custm Shop also used a soldering gun to make the burn marks look EXACTLY like on the original. Maybe I will go back and re-read the article.
You know, I remember John talking about Eddie holding it over his head and using the reflectors to "flash". The effort put into this to make it exact is amazing. Every detail is duplicated to as exact as possible - from the year on the quarter to the materials used to lighting up cigs to make the burn marks. It's unreal the details on this thing.
How long until the first fake fake Franky hits the streets? Or would that be impossible from what you've seen of it in person?
I would think it would be damn hard to produce a fake of this thing.

This guitar actually proves that to have a great tone and great music you dont need a $10000 guitar! Hats off to Eddie and his Frankie.
was reading in GW how they built the guitar...they found it real hard to get those same year (70's) quarters as EVH's original guitar. It seems they finally found it on eBay. Some guy was selling a bunch of quarters.
But isn't the replica selling for $25,000? :ROTF:

No no. What I meant is that you can make excellent music and get great tone with a guitar like eddie's. A parts mutt. You dont need a $10000 guitar. And Eddie didnt pay $25,000 for his guitar either.
