also, in the close-up of the frets, the frets seem to be pretty good and not-worn out. I dont see any "pitting". As I recall, Eddie replaced the frets on the original himself. Did he use Dunlops or Stainless steel frets?Last edited by emperor_black; 06-29-2007, 12:00 PM.Sam

The original back drilled floyd nut made for a weaker neck joint. You'll see a lot more cracked necks from that than not ..

And if I recall correctly they looked like schallers. I mean they didn't look brand new, but they defintly didn't look as worn as the rest of the guitar. Still real shiny and such. Maybe Eddie replaced them not to long ago?
And about the frets, I read in an interview with the guy that built this, that when he was looking at the original franky he was amazed that there was hardly any fretware, espically considering how hard ed plays he said.
