Got my Black Cherry baby back today For those who may not know. . it had a paint defect in the headstock. So couple emails here and there & phone calls to Fender Customer Service and I sent it back to the CS.. . . it only took a month (see pix. . black arrows). I dropped it off at the Music store on 6/1/07 and it left the CS on 7/3/07.
So I would like to thank all you guys who persisted for me to get it repaired and send it back,I heard all these horror stories about long "lead times" etc. I did write FMIC a letter to let them know how I felt (posted in here), and less than 2 weeks later I have it back.
Well im very happy and its perfect, What I did notice and you may too is the logo is smaller than the orignal one and more vivid gold. Also its the orignal neck, which I wanted to keep. The neck looks awesome and they oiled it and buffed the frets too.
