I was thinking the EXACT same thing
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Not quite... you're saying that they ran out of Jackson logos, so all the Charvels got Jackson logos... I'm saying that all of the Charvels and Jacksons got Charvel plates because they wanted to use the plates up before the move.

Which supports my theory that Jackson logo'd Charvel plated late-era Glendora guitars were Jacksons or Charvels based off their logo, instead of their plates...

            To-may-to / To-mah-to.

That's why I put "Charvel" in quotes. It's debatable whether they were Charvels or Jacksons. IMHO, there is no right or wrong answer to this question.

i.e., They had Jackson logos, so they must be Jacksons, right? Or... They had Charvel serial numbers and plates, so they must be Charvels?

Meh. Who cares. They're cool guitars, either way. If the brand affiliation - one way or the other - makes the buyer feel better about their guitar, that's cool for them.

Pat: Here is a better shot of the new logo. Hopefully it will be large as I adjusted the camera's settings. (didnt have to downsize and get jagged on me)

ps:sully : I cut those strings AND had a shirt on too

This is the old logo and blemish, what a great job the CS did on the repair. The new logo is much smaller (look at the tuners)

Rupe: Thanx a million. Turn around was only 30 days or so.I also noticed it was shipped next day priorty too.

I even sent it back with the gold tuners I had installed, didnt bother to put the orignal black ones for the repair. They went over the entire neck, feels smoother and the higher frets had some tarnish before, now all 22 of them are shinny. The CS installed a new nut and truss rod cover too.

ps: my little sis lives in Broomfield.
