The concept of a D-Tuna is to extend the string lock screw further behind the tremolo to accomodate the mechanism (actually just an extended sleeve) that extends the string's fine-tuning ability. A lo-profile tremolo, like the JT580LP has the string lock screws on top of the unit. Therefore it's inherent design negates the application of a D-Tuna.
Its not only the route, but the setup of the trem.
EDIT: And by setup, I mean how the trem is made and the saddles are set up.
but thanks for playing anyway, kelly user. And even though you didn't win anything, remember, all participants will take home a commemorative stick-pin and an attractively framed participation certificate

In theory, it will work for any Floyd Rose or licensed Floyd Rose that is top mounted.
The problem with the Schaller-style is that the string lock screw is thicker than the OFR style. After installation, it would leave a gap in the slot in the baseplate that they go through. (leaves a door open for someone in a metal shop to start manufacturing a barrel-type string lock screw huh? - Mayday????)
Also generally Schaller-style Floyds are recessed, therefore to install one, you'd have to raise the tremolo out of the cavity (negating the benefit of having it recessed in the first place) or, god forbid, creating a channel for the d-tuna with a dremmel tool.

Don't the D-Tunas come with two different lock screws (one shorter for Schaller trems)?
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

It's been a couple of years since I've bought one to install. But looking online, I see they have two Original Floyd-type string lock screws of different lengths. Not a Schaller style. I'd be interested to see if they have manufactured another version.
