I have been wanting one of those. Nice 81 in the bridge, neck through construction... . Anyone know if they use a batterybox or it is 9V is contained in the control cavity?

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's fussy about that!

There's a battery box in it. I don't really know why, considering the control cavity is big enough to fit it in there. I guess it's more a convenience thing. Though, how lazy are you that you can't open the control cavity once a year to change a battery?

It's not so much a laziness thing for me. I've got a bass with the active pickup battery in the control cavity, and as careful as I was, I eventually stripped a bunch of those darn little screws over the years.

Could wind up being more often than that if you leave the cord plugged in all the time.

I'm waiting for a "RR240" that could be a easy typo.

                        heh.

Washburn had 29 and 36 fret models a few years back.

Where *are* all of the RR24's? Aren't all the colors out now? I thought there would be a lot more pics/buzz in the forum by now.

Where are ANY RR24s?? I know some dealers have them but I live in a pretty big metro area (Atlanta) and between 3 GCs, a Sam Ash, and a local chain that carries some high-end Jacksons, I have not seen a single RR24! What's up with that? Jackson is not marketing this model at all, I have not seen a single ad for them in any mags for example. And when they do end up dropping it, the FMIC party line will be "they didn't sell". Well how about advertising the damn thing and getting them into stores?
