  • Want to know the price of a specific model

    Hello,
I have a question about Charvel San Dimas III custom model. It's a mainly koa + mahogany model with active EMG84 (HSS) and Wilkinson bridge.

Friend of mine bought it in California about 10-12 years ago and now wants to sell it in Poland or in Europe.

Question is - what price would You propose ?

The SD IIIW (Wilkinson trem) were only available with a Mahogany body and a Maple top.
If it's Koa, it's an SD II.
So which is it, Koa OR Mahogany?

Cool. Somebody swapped the original pickups for an 89 in the bridge and their SV single coils.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

actually this EMG on the bridge and those two single coils are also _actives_ . didn't heard of it till i bought it. they sound very good - i mostly play fusion , rock and experimental.

              I'm a big EMG fan, I know they're actives.

                  That's SD IIIW.
                  Nice guitar.
Worth about $500 to $700 based on the last few eBay auctions I've seen.

okay, i can see it's extremely rare in europe , so the price here is much higher ( generally we are in poland very anxious about USA prices ;/ )

and one more question - does every charvel have "custom shop" logo if it's a custom made guitar ?

No you can request not to have it. Which I think is stupid because it can lower the resale value.

OK and one more thing .

The catalogue price (from '96 as i remember) is 1450$.
How much money would it cost now ? (I mean the money evaluation/inlfation etc.)

This wasn't a Custom Shop piece, so it wouldn't have the logo.
