What exactly sets it apart from a regular Rhoads?

The Player's Choice series were guitars that utilized the most requested specifications from endorsers and satisfied past customers. This allowed the common player/buyer to get a "road proven" guitar with a minimum of hassles. The PCS Rhoads was released in 1994 and unlike the USA production Rhoads, it was a recreation of Randy's second Jackson, and the one he preferred. It was an authentic reproduction of his original, right down to the Duncan pickups, special brass parts, and high topped frets which were inlaid into the neck binding. It was also obviously a string through JT-390 bridge. There wasn't a string through Rhoads available as a USA Production model then either.

              Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

Wow! Thanks for the info! So I'm assuming there's probably PCS Phil Collen, Scott Ian, and Dave Mustaine models as well? Maybe?

the player's choice series in the 94-95 catalog was as follows: exotic dinky, collen model, flamed dinky, original rhoads, king v, and rhoads 10 string...d.m.

Whoa! Never knew that Rhoads 10-string existed. I've only heard of BC Rich Biches being 10-string!
