who in God's name would play a guitar with these gay graphics, or even who would WANT a graphic on a guitar. The gayest finish
I'm off to look at some boobies...back in a bit!

Im 41 and I never liked these graphics. I like graphics but I think they should be personalized. The only thing that would interest me that wouldnt be custom would be if they did a polka dot San Dimas. I have seen some but I dont know if they were custom or not. RR has the polka dots on lock maybe. Fender does a Buddy Guy polka dot Strat so maybe they could do some Charvels as well.

That is funny that you say that. He is inspecting a neck with a locking nut on it which none of these guitars have. I liked the rising sun and bulls eye graphics from back then, but I did not get real empressed till Dan Lawrence started doing the graphics that had more dimension to them. 1-d graphics like the spider web and the bolt are pretty boring.

The main problem with these guitars is price. Overpricing a product to the point of absurdity sure has a way of coloring your perceptions of it.
With reasonable prices - and maybe some equipped with Floyds, instead - I'd bet that many of us criticizing them now would probably otherwise have had very different opinions of the same exact designs. Instead of thinking of them as quirky remakes of some of the cheesiest graphic schemes ever, we might otherwise be perceiving them as retro-cool or whatnot, instead. (...Well, maybe not the "gay spiderman" one, though. )
I sure get the sense the FMIC just doesn't get it that the same overpriced "exclusive limited edition" formula that repeatedly works so well for the Fender guitar line just ain't going to work in the same way for Jackson/Charvel-land. But we're not seeing the real sales numbers, so we'll never know for sure, though.
Just MHO.

The photographer probably said "Hey Grover, just pick up a neck from the stash over there and pretend that you're inspecting it...."
