Very beautiful guitar, but a little bit too expensive at least for here in America! Hope that sticker does not leave a residue!

Well ive already think that but, if i buy a guitar from a USA Dealer lets say at a price of 1800 USD, when it comes to portugal i have to pay at least 10% of taxes, ok thats 1980 USD. Then i have to pay 21% of VAT referent to the guitar plus the transport (wich i dont know how mutch it is). I think at the end i will pay about 2400 USD ....

Yeah, but it won't be 7+ years old with an ugly fretboard!

That's an amazing maple top. I'm not too fond of the fretboard myself, but I guess it looks OK with that particular finish. That's a sweet looking guitar, almost the type of finish/top you'd expect on a PC-1.

Interesting. The back appears to be Koa. I've never seen a guitar with a maple top that used Koa as the backing wood! I think the fretboard just kills it for me. It's a nice guitar though, but I would think about ordering one yourself with the exact options you want. Especially, since they want so much for that guitar.

FYI... the guitar was made in 1994 not '84

Not to piss in your cereal, but there's no way that guitar is nos. It looks played to me. There are marks on the bridge and gunk on the fretboard. A USA dinky is never worth spending that kind of money anyway. You could buy two USA dinky's and import them for that kind of cash. Also I hate it when stores stick their stupid stickers on guitars. They always leave residue, which bugs the hell out of me.

Go offer them 1k for it. I wouldn't pay more. If not, I would get a used sl2h. If all else fails you could always go for the cock dragon

That statement assumes that everybody likes neck-thru axes more than bolt-ons, and that they are more valuable just because they're a neck-thru. Personally, I'd rather have a custom shop Dinky than a Soloist, and would (and have) pay the same money. I dunno, but in my opinion, capping the value on that guitar at 1K is a little extreme. Price a new custom shop axe with the same specs and you'll see that even at $1500.00 it wouldn't be a bad deal at all. Of course, I still wouldn't pay 2K for it.

How about a mint used one from say "Guitar Center"? That way you
pay about $1350.00 plus shipping and all your added VAT fees which
ends up costing you about $1600.00?

No Mark. This statement assumes nothing of the sort. It was based on the "how much your willing to pay" principle. This is what I would be willing to pay, as a said in my post because I suspect that this guitar has been used and I think a used soloist would be a much better deal. I was stating my personal preference, not assuming anything about anybody.

So a brand new guitar for $2400 USD or a used 10 year old one for $2900 USD.

Do you really need to have that explained to you?
