Of course it's the admin's job. But my opinion is if someone wants to be on a forum, they ought to take the time to read the rules. I get sick of seeing posts that don't even get the basics. My understanding is that dealer quotes are forbidden.

And I get sick of seeing endless posts of people trying to act superior to n00bs because they didnt read the rules. The fact of the matter is, MOST message boards have visible classifieds from day one, most dont have restrictions on what prices you can post. This one is diffent... not that its bad, but its different and most people dont realize it. Let the admins do their job and just worry about making quality posts once in a while and all should be good.

I wouldn't think custom shop prices fall into this category, unless the dealer is giving a break on the list price? I'm not sure how the whole custom shop thing works, i.e. how much the dealer pays for it.
I'd think list prices would be okay to post, but dealers give a certain discount percentage. The end price can be different from dealer to dealer. If you get a custom price quote from one dealer, don't post it here, as another dealer's price may be different.

What's the big deal if he post's the quote without mentioning the dealer? Who cares? FMIC has all but killed the Jackson/Charvel CS with the last round of price hikes and crooked floyds. How many new CS pieces have we seen posted here over the last year? Not many!

My opinion is they are missing out on many opportunities.

Caraluzzo - I'm glad you got your quote and it was better than you expected. We'll be looking for you to post pics of it when you get it in 2010.
