You might want to hold out until Winter NAMM in January. There have been rumors swirling around about a posssible AS sig model. If so, it'd likely get announced then.
For "AS" you ar reffering to Adrian Smith??? Even tho I would dick for that one (is my fav guitar) I just don't get why they would do that. He has been playing Fender strats now a days. The only way that I figure it could be true is that since next year they will be making the Somewhere Back in Time tour, he might be playing with a Jackson for that tour.

neilli, yep i think that was it. looks killer. who ever finished it did a great job, i sold the body with the neck, unassembled. & yeah its all legit C/J stuff. PM if you want info on it.
Yes, not including the PC1's. From the numbers I remember being thrown around a few years ago was that there were less than 60 factory Jackson Stratheads before the PC1's. That would be total from the mid-80's up until 2002 or 2003 from what I understand. I just said 100 to be safe. That would not include Jackson woodburn strathead necks, which number in the couple to several hundred range, if I recall correctly. A non-PC1 factory Jackson Strathead is really a rare beast.
Well then lets post all of the strathead Jacksons pics that we know 80´s players had.

Gunner, a "woodburn neck" is a reference to replacement necks jackson used to make. They had a branded jackson logo burned into the bottom of the heel of the neck.
whats the difference between a PC1 and a PC3? the sustainer?? do these guitars come in solid colours such as white?
PC1 is a USA Select.
PC3 was made in Japan (discontinued).
The differences...
PC1 1/8" Maple top - PC3 paper thin veneer top.
PC1 Real Floyd - PC3 JT580 LP or Wilkinson (depends on the year it was made)
PC1 DiMarzio pickups - PC3 Duncan Designed pickups
PC1 Sustainer - PC3 no sustainer
PC1 Switchcraft jack/selector and CTS pots - PC3 cheap pots and switches
PC1 and PC3 only available in natural or transparent finishes. No solid colors.
I've never understood the facination with wanting a Fender Strat headstock, which is what we are really talking about here. I don't get the "oh it's rare and it's lawsuit" crap. Bottom line, it's ugly. If you want a Fender go buy a Fender. Make my metal guitar pointy !
well to quench your "Jones" for now...get yourself a PC-1 You
get an awesome axe...super quality, and "Strat" head...with
the extra bonus of a "Sustainer" pickup. Used you may find one
for around $1700
Neilli has the best jackson strathead , i lose it when i see that guitar. Ebony board would be, oh fukk it, i gotta stop with the " if it only had's"
it's a doozy.
