I've read many guitar sites like guitarnuts.com talk about how important the electronics on the guitar are...but until tonight, I did not realize it. I just took out the blade pickup selector from my DK2T and replaced the tone knob (which I had disconnected a long time ago) with a $4 SPDT toggle switch from Radioshack. Its a 2 way switch for selecting either pup. The guitar sounds so much better now. Much tighter and sounds almost as good as my SL2HT.
I had not realized that the blade/toggle switch makes such an important difference to the guitar sound. Think about it. its the component that routes (by selecting) the pickup sound to the vol pot and from there to the output jack. So, its the first line of contact from the "hot" of the pickups.
