  • Hey Shredders- New Guy Here!

Hey All- new guy here, and new Jackson owner. I used to own Jacksons years ago, then kind of lost touch. Joined a classic rock band kind of stuck in the 70's and was loving the Gibson / JCM900 sound. Now, after forming a new band playing a lot of 80's hair metal, I found myself in need of a whammy bar axe with a faster neck. So I went and bought myself an Ibanez Joe Satriani JS-100, the bolt on neck version. I had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE with it, mostly the defective tremelo and music store I purchased it from and their distributor that didn't want to honor the warrantee- but that's a whole other post some time..........

I ended up getting a new replacement guitar finally, and immediately replacing the crappy Ibanez pickups with Di Marzio's. After all this, it sucked. The trem was great, but I didn't like the tone and it had no sustain. I ended up trading an amp for the two guitars below, which I am extremely happy with. Now I'm hooked on the Jacko's again, and finding out how playable the necks are and how the solo notes cut thru!

Apparently you aren't the only one with Ibanez not wanting to honor the warranty (I have a horror story too if you go digging for it). And is Crimson Swirl not just awesome?
