Noob checking in. My name is Joel and I've been playing for 32 years and have had several Jacksons and Charvels along the way. I come from the typical 80's shred background and like metal and hard rock the most of any of the styles. I've been reading up a bit while waiting to be approved and this is not my first musical forum! I look forward to lots of guitar porn and hope to contribute some of my own. Thanks for having me; I'll be stickin' around!

Welcome, from one Noob to another!
Metal is my background too. I bet the percentage of Jackson users that are into metal is pretty high compared to other guitar makers. Maybe it's just me but it seems that way. Anyone who I know who has a Jackson is all Metal at heart.
Wouldn't mind seeing a picture of your gear someday?

Hi and welcome. I am also a noob that grew up on 80's metal! I was lucky in that I grew up close to L.A. and the O.C. in the 80's and was part of the scene! It's nice to know that I'm not the only "geezer" here, though I've only been playing 30 years!

Yep! There seems to be quite a few ‘80s old school metalers here. It makes sense though, considering that the ‘80s were golden years for heavy metal and Jackson guitars. It’s kinda hard to just leave it behind especially if you were part of the scene back then.
Welcome to the club old school brother!
