Thanks Toejam. I trawled through the division-usa website a while ago looking for decent pictures of his SLS 7, but I didn't find any. An SLS in a 7 was a great idea. I could be easily sold on an SLSMG as a 7...

I'm going to assume though thats MAP, and aren't MAPs higher in Europe? I'm assuming its MAP as those Charvel/Jackson spec sheets list the MAP, not the list judging by the ones I've seen (for the BGF KVX and Bengal DK2MS)

I'd like to see the Warrior back with original spec, angled fretboard end and slanted pickups (preferably Bareknuckles!!) but best of all, available in Warbird Graphic!!
MIJ stratheads are on the cards....from official sources!!

That's what I've been saying for the last 2 years! And that would be great for Jeff Loomis, to play.
          I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

You're confusing MAP with list price. And remember that the import prices are typically listed without a case. So add another $100 for a hard shell case.

So assume $1,350-ish were to be the list price, including case. MAP (minimum advertised price by dealers) would be a 25% discount off of that, or a little over a grand. Most dealers would let them go at a real "street price" of around $950-ish, give or take.

It'd be great if it plays out that way. But I'm not holding my breath for an import Charvel strathead that low. My guess is that's just the price for a "base" model - single hum, plain-jane color, maybe even a vintage trem. And then $100-200 higher for the "mid" or "high" level models with HH or HSS, a Floyd, maybe fancier finishes. You know, the ones most people will actually want to buy. ...All just my own speculation.

Mike doesn't have an SLS-7, but a CS 7-string Soloist. It can be initially mistaken for an SLS because it has 22 frets and piranha inlays, but it's a "full-bodied" Soloist. I've played it--it's amazing.

I actually have something closer to an SLS-7, though it's really a Stealth-7 because it has a bolt-on neck. Same body shape as an SLS, though. I don't have any digital pictures of it at the moment, but it's one of the earliest 7-strings that Jackson made. I'll see if I can post some pics when I get home.

Edit: I found some pictures of my Stealth-7. Forgotten I'd added them to Photobucket

A bit off-topic, I suppose. I certainly don't expect Jackson to add anything like this to its lineup for 2008.

                  Look at horizontal shot #2...
That seventh string has gone south!

Yup, I took those pics literally just a few minutes after the guitar arrived at my door and before I had a chance to clean/restring it. You might say that it arrived in "pawnshop shape."

Ah, I get you. Thanks for the clarification. I've only seen grainy pictures of it. I don't know why I assumed the body was shaped like an SLS an not a soloist. Along with the 22 frets and non-shark inlays, the smurf-hat headstock probably pushed me over the edge. I'm sure it's awesome.

Man that's sweet. That's quite an early CS 7 too, isn't it? Thanks for sharing the pictures. I think I've seen one of those pics before, so I'll guess you're jacksonplayer from ss.org? I'm never going to keep track of these multiple handles...

And curse 7-string GAS. Just can't get the idea of an SLSMG7 out of my mind.

Yep, that's me. I should have kept the same handle over there; can't recall why I didn't. My Stealth-7 is mostly likely one of the first five Jackson 7-strings made, and possibly the third. There are two I know of that were built before it--black Dinky-bodied SweeTone guitars with a red logo.

I hope they make some new guitar models with cutouts. The Rhoads and Kelly cutout models are seriously badass

I would love to see neck-thru import KV, and a 7-string with a trem.
