All this speculation about new COW8, why do we believe it?

I'm reading all these threads here, people seem to be damn sure that there are going to be all these new sig models. But why do we believe it? Just because COW got one 8 string made doesn't mean it will be a new sig...

I don't even remember what the other ones are, all I really care about is the 8 string. Why is everyone so sure it is going to happen? This McD guy didn't even show a pic.

But I do know that my COW 7 kicks ass and I would instantly buy a COW 8 if it came out. I just want to see a pic, or someone who just knows so much more than I do, to actually confirm this thing exists so I can put an order in.

It isn't sure at all, and we don't even know about the status of the custom COW 8 for Christian... last I know is they were searching for a fitting bridge.

I guess as long as there's no official "No" people can dream, and that's what they do right now, while craving for good news.

From my point of view it would be quite a surprise if a production COW 8 came out next year already. Not impossible though! Depends on how well the guys at JCMI did their homework so far, and if they think there's a big enough market for it to go into production.

My 0.02 cents and nothing new.^^

EDIT: I just read the "What's new for 2008" thread again, nobody in there said it was sure these sig models are to be released, everybody made clear that it's all speculation at this point and especially with the COW 8 it wasn't sure if it's going to be a production model.

Personally I think the Phil Demmel KV has a good chance to go into production, because of the general shortage of KV production models (especially NO high end japanese KV at all).
I'm sceptical about the COW 8 because I don't know if there's enough demand in the market (or, if the JCMI guys THINK there's enough demand).

So you mean the 500 or so 8 strings Ibanez made were all bought by the same 5 people? You're an idiot. The market is certainly smaller, but not that small, and since only one production eight string exists, it'd be pretty easy to capture a market share now. But it's people like you who blow me away, every time I bust out my 7 I get some idiot like yourself making a cliche, ridiculous comment about how 7 is totally unnecessary bla bla bla.

I've never heard anything good about Halo's quality and they insist on making their guitars really, really ugly (they can't even get a strat shape right!!) so I wouldn't consider them real competition for just a straight up Dinky styled 8 string or the RG 8.

A few months back I am not sure if it was the Jackson rep himself or or someone close to one stated there are a lot more sig guitars in the works/talks.
An 8 string would be very low on the list though IMO.
Sorry I am old school why not just be a bass player.

Never heard anything good about them either, but it is ANOTHER production 8 string, and there will be a Dean one soon I think for Rusty Cooley.
