Also, I never knocked the quality, only the integrity of those brands he mentioned.
And just to be clear, the point I was making is that virtually every PC sold everywhere has something from the US. Hell, I only had to mention MS to make that point, LOL.Last edited by marcus; 12-06-2007, 01:01 PM."It's hard to be enigmatic if you have to go around explaining yourself all the time"

You are surprised here

There are many pros using 400 series...I think that the quality of the 400 series (of which I have 2) is about the same as my USA Jackson. Seriously...the Jackson has the locking nut ABOVE the regular nut...hilarious.
As for the 1000 series...a bit too much 'bling' for most so I think many peopl opt for the less flashy series, including me really...even though I have 2 of them as well.My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.
Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

is like many people's surprise at your statement
I've tried below 400 series stuff that was incredible not even knowing the price.

I thnk the Japanese stuff is great. I just was unimpressed by the LTD stuff. To the point when I get ESP for 08, I am not getting any of the LTDs.
some trems had behind the nut locking systems, is your jackson of those?
My opinion is based on my experience trying to sell them.

My point was to call out those brands originally mentioned, (but I did that by insulting the parts makers themselves (?!)) It was intended to be a joke, reflecting the fact that so much is getting outsourced. I acknowledge your point, although you should probably look into the claim about the taxes. Microsoft, Broadcom, and Intel don't pay very much in taxes. We are largely on the same page, but I'm a little off today, so take it easy.Last edited by anuske9; 12-06-2007, 02:25 PM.-Adam

It's a 1985...back when everyone says Jackson REALLY made them well...see...it's all perspective. Of my 29 stringed instruments, the ESP made (and the LTD guitars) are the best of the bunch OR at least neck and neck with them.
Jacksonite, my point is that you could put down the LTD and say "that's no good" and pick up the Jackson and say "yes...that's it"...meanwhile another player will do the opposite. I tried a Jackson in a store recently and although I really liked the neck, the hardware was not very nice, the bridge was something I'd rip off if I owned it, and the rest of the guitar was passable...the rig isn't something that I'd accept if someone offered it to me along with $300 for either my EC 400 or my EC 400AT.
I think that many people still make decisions based on the name on the headstock. My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

I sold only a handful of them, but overall they were just lower quality than the Jackson
