serial numbers

If there is already a thread on this i am sorry(plz send a link to it) if not i got a charvel a few months ago and i have not got a clue what it is, the serial number on the neck plate is 373568.it also has 22frets, looks like a strat(body shape and headstock) 1 humbucker and 2 single coils(all got black charvel covers on) 1 volume and 1 tone control
please can some one help,any info would be great

Look at the catalog scans section of this thread.Made in Japan and if it is a strat headstock I'd say for the Japan market only.If it has the sort of a strat headstock its a CX series.The scans will tell you exactly what you have.

Unfortunately the serial #s don't help with ID on the import Charvels, but you may be able to match it up to something in the catalog scans here, probably from '92 or later:

Can you post some pictures? Also, is the headstock exactly like a Fender strat, or just similar? Like straycat said, could be a CX or also STX, depending on features. Those are in the '92 catalog:

it could be something like a CX392. Stratheads were available outside of the US - Vic (genebaby) has one. Although, they generally have the model name on the headstock

True, but that's the thing about a bolt-on neck - it comes off pretty easy, and Warmoth necks will fit. Plus it's easy enough to find a Charvel logo online.
