I have a Jackson Soloist SL2HT and I really like the sound of the neck pickup for rythm much better than the JB in the bridge so I think I will replace the JB for a 59 Bridge. I saw on duncan website that they work better with mahogany body and my jackson has maple neck thru. Does it fit? I play mostly hard rock metal with a Peavey 6505+ and Mesa Boogie 4x12 Recto Cab.

You may want to consider a Duncan Blues Saraceno. I have one in one of my Soloists and LOVE it! VERY underated and unappreciated pickup, in my opinion..."You are so stupid that I am surprised you have not collapsed into a singularity of stupidity." - Anon

I have a `59 in an `83 Charvel. My take is a JB is slightly smoother, whereas the 59 is a little more raw or harsh sounding in maple neck guitars. Can't say if it has a tighter bottom end, but if you're into a high gain I don't know if it's what you're looking for. It seems to sound great with modest gain - think early AC/DC rhythm sound which is actually quite clean. BTW, I love it in the Charvel as it works perfect in a HSS setup.
If you're really looking for a tight bottom and mids at high gain, I'd highly recommend the Dimarzio Breed neck pickup in the bridge position. Dimarizio commonly recommends this and I find it hits a sweet spot in smooth with nice harmonics at high gain settings, but yet still very clear notes.
